슈바르츠(1915)프랑스의 수학자. 파리대학 교수를 역임하였다. 분포이론을 통하여 미분개념을 확장하였으며 이후의 측도이론(measure theory)과 적분개념의 확장을 유발시켰다. 그 결과 해석학과 분포이론의 밀접한 관련성을 입증하였다. 종전의 해석학은 연속함수를, 분포이론은 이산함수를 주로 다루었다. 주요저서에 《분포 이론：Theorie des distributions》(1950∼51)이 있다.
